Woodwind Lessons Adelaide
At Novar Music we are proud to offer a range of woodwind lessons in Adelaide. We employ only the most passionate, engaged and professional woodwind teachers who are constantly looking to develop their musical expertise with the latest teaching principles.
Our teaching philosophy is that every child is unique and as such requires a bespoke learning environment and plan.
We only offer one-on-one sessions to ensure the student is not being held back or left behind by the rest of the class. We find students improve faster, enjoy the instrument more, and gain more confidence as a result.
Novar offer woodwind instrumental lessons for students aged 7-8 years old though to adult. We recommend this starting age as we find they are more capable of physically using the instruments and progress comes more quickly. Other great benefits of learning a woodwind instrument include breath control, posture, music theory and strengthening core body control.
Woodwind instruments (flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone) are very popular in school and community bands, who are often looking for new members.
We offer one-on-one, 30 minute lessons suitable for beginners or younger students. This offers a great opportunity to learn the basics in a time frame that is manageable for younger students. As students get older and more proficient in your chosen woodwind instrument, we will look to lengthen the lessons to 45 minutes or an hour.
We require all students to own or hire an instrument before beginning lessons with Novar Music. This enables the child to become familiar with the instrument and to further their learning at home through practice and homework. If you require help finding a great instrument, please get in touch, as we have a great network of stores we can refer you to. We recommend that you buy the best instrument you can afford to ensure you can make the best sounding music possible.
If you are looking for a music school look no further, Carly is an expert at teaching and choosing teachers for her students. Both my children have been taught by Carly. She engages each child the way they need to be engaged. I can see that the other teachers are similarly engaging from the shared looks of accomplishment between the teachers and their students at the Novar Music concerts. It is a supportive, enjoyable and engaging environment that is perfect for learning.
